Library Research Haikus
September 17th, 2009 by jbreemsThe Library, the ASK Center, and the LCAs are sponsoring a Love Your Library night on Wednesday, September 23 from 7 - 9 p.m. in the library. The event is designed as an informal time to answer your questions about research and studying. Coffee and refreshments will be served. We hope that you can come.
Just for fun, here are some library haikus about research:
Writing a paper?
Librarians have mad skills.
Consult with Jenni.
Here till 5 pm.
I can answer your questions.
Glorious sources.
Do you understand
what the reference desk does?
You should ask, buddy.
Please don’t walk by me
another time looking lost.
I am here to help.
She knows where to find
the answers contained herein.
Your fault if you fail.
Bibliographies,
footnotes, and endnotes galore.
Save time. Talk to me.
What is your style?
Chicago Turabian.
Help with citations.
I’ll help you today.
Someone is here tomorrow.
Use our great knowledge.
Find the best sources.
The librarian knows where
they are hiding.
The cursor blinks.
You will need more evidence
to support your claims.
You chose your topic,
but are not sure which journals
might aid your research.
I am an expert
in tracking down resources.
I earned a degree.
I write these haiku
hoping to charm you into
asking me questions.
